Yoo Yeon Seok and director Park Chan Wook may be teaming up for a new film!
Sports DongA reported on July 2 that according to industry insiders, Yoo Yeon Seok is confirmed to star in director Park Chan Wook’s next project following “Decision to Leave.”
In response to the reports, CJ ENM and Yoo Yeon Seok’s agency KINGKONG by STARSHIP shared, “He received an offer and is reviewing it.”
According to the reports, the project is one that director Park Chan Wook has been preparing for many years. Currently, the production team is in the stages of sorting out copyright issues as the film is based on an original project. Earlier, it was revealed that Lee Byung Hun and Son Ye Jin are in talks for the film along with Lee Sung Min and Yeom Hye Ran.
If Yoo Yeon Seok appears in Park Chan Wook’s project, this will be his first reunion with the director in 21 years since starring in “Old Boy,” which marked Yoo Yeon Seok’s debut on the big screen in 2003. Currently, Yoo Yeon Seok is gearing up for his upcoming MBC drama “The Number You Have Dialed” (working title).
