tvN’s “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is gearing up for its premiere!

Helmed by director Ahn Pan Seok of the hit drama “Something in the Rain,” “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is set against the backdrop of Daechi, a neighborhood renowned as the epicenter of private education in Korea. The plot centers around an instructor who tirelessly assists a student named Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) in gaining admission to a prestigious university. In a twist of fate, Lee Joon Ho later returns to the academy as a rookie instructor after resigning from a large company because he remains fixated on his first love, his academy teacher Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won), even after becoming an adult.

The newly releases stills capture the moment in which Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho’s relationship begins to change. After spending a fierce day as an instructor, Seo Hye Jin soothes her tired soul and lifts her spirits by looking at the wall of fame at Daechi Chase, the academy she works at.

Of the notable names is “the first scholarship student” Lee Joon Ho, a miracle case and the pride of Seo Hye Jin who helped him get admitted to a prestigious university. While looking over the names, Lee Joon Ho appears at the academy, leading to their unexpected reunion.

Another still depicts Seo Hye Jin appearing pleased while looking at Lee Joon Ho’s employee badge as he works at a large company. As Seo Hye Jin returns the badge, Lee Joon Ho smiles brightly back with a gaze full of affection, making viewers curious to find out why Lee Joon Ho visited Seo Hye Jin late at night as their reunion will cause the story to develop in an unexpected direction.

“The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” will premiere on May 11 at 9:20 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Queen of Tears.”
