Netflix’s upcoming series “Mr. Plankton” has unveiled its main poster and trailer!
Written by Jo Yong of “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” and directed by Hong Jong Chan of “Juvenile Justice” and “Dear My Friends,” “Mr. Plankton” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of people who can’t blend in or connect with anyone, just like plankton.
The newly released main poster captures the drama’s three main characters—Hae Jo (Woo Do Hwan), who is embarking on the last journey of his life; Jae Mi (Lee Yoo Mi), who unexpectedly joins him; and Eo Heung (Oh Jung Se), Jae Mi’s groom who is in pursuit of pure romance.
Hae Jo appears to be grinning amidst the high drama, while Jae Mi looks on in confusion, and Eo Heung is depicted earnestly chasing after them. These dynamic and contrasting expressions raise anticipation about the reasons behind the chase and their ultimate destination.
The accompanying trailer begins by introducing Hae Jo, who lives just for fun and always acts unpredictably. He bluntly tells Jae Mi, who wishes to become a mother, that she can never fulfill that dream, sparking curiosity about what sort of past relationship they shared.
The video then introduces Eo Heung, who is determined to protect the person he loves. However, just before his wedding to Jae Mi, Hae Jo intervenes, urging her to join him on a quest to find someone. This prompts Eo Heung to chase after them as he is eager to keep his promise to Jae Mi.
As the trailer nears its end, Hae Jo says in voice-over, “If you lose your way while wandering aimlessly, it doesn’t set you adrift. It just makes you a drifter.” He then turns to Jae Mi and asks, “Wanna drift together?” What choices will Jae Mi make, and what kind of journey lies ahead for all three characters?
