JTBC’s “The Atypical Family” has released a new making-of video that offers a glimpse into their final day of filming!
“The Atypical Family” is a fantasy romance drama about a family that once had supernatural powers, but lost them after suffering from realistic modern-day problems.
In the latest making-of video, the cast members share their thoughts on the drama as they bid farewell to months of filming.
Jang Ki Yong, who played the role of Bok Gwi Joo, says, “[At first,] I felt nervous because this was my first project in a long time, and it feels different and sentimental knowing that today marks the end of filming. Although I came to the set with nervousness, self-doubts, and a lot of worries, the filming was always filled with laughter, and I did my best for every scene.”
When asked to choose the most memorable moment from filming, he answers, “There was a scene where Gwi Joo raced fervently to Sunjae Girls’ High School to revert everything. I spent the entire day running for that scene, and when I saw it air, I thought it encapsulated all of Gwi Joo’s emotions throughout the drama.”
Meanwhile, Chun Woo Hee says in a separate interview, “Time especially flew by during this project. Every day was a joy thanks to the staff, directors, and fellow actors.” She adds, “This was the most comfortable I’ve ever felt on set.”
She also talks about a funny anecdote, recalling, “There was a scene where Gwi Joo had to carry the unconscious Da Hae to bed. To enhance the realism of my acting, I completely relaxed in his arms. However, when Gwi Joo placed me on the bed, my neck ended up bending backward. Gwi Joo tried hard to hide his laughter, but it was evident on screen. It became a fun story for us, and I teased him about it afterward.”
