Harbin has shared heartfelt notes from South Korea’s top directors and actors, including a message of support from lead actor Hyun Bin’s wife, Son Ye Jin.
As Harbin continues its box office streak into the New Year, the film has drawn even more attention with handwritten messages from some of South Korea’s most respected filmmakers and actors.
Director Bong Joon Ho praised the film, saying, “I’m deeply grateful to the production team and director for portraying such noble characters with dignity through outstanding cinematography and direction,” showing his admiration for Woo Min Ho’s thoughtful storytelling. Director Choi Dong Hoon also applauded the movie, calling it “a film that fills your heart with awe.”
Song Kang Ho shared, “I was overwhelmed with emotion,” while Son Suk Ku passionately wrote, “Long live Korea!” Namkoong Min described it as “a must-watch for all Koreans,” and Song Seung Heon said that the film gives “an unstoppable wave of powerful emotion.”
Son Ye Jin added her thoughts, saying, “In these times when our hearts may feel frozen but still burn with passion, this is a film we all need to see.” She previously attended the VIP premiere to support her husband’s film, actively joining the photo session to promote it.
With messages from a star-studded lineup including Lee Sung Min, Lee Hee Jun, Kim Jong Soo, Jang Dong Gun, Jung Sung Il, Jung Ho Bin, EXY, Jo Dal Hwan, Yoon Seo Bin, Kim Won Hae, Ko Chang Seok, Ha Ji Young, Shin Do Hyun and more, Harbin continues to turn heads. The film recently surpassed 3 million admissions and is now racing toward the 4 million mark.
Set in 1909, Harbin follows the gripping pursuit between those heading to Harbin with a singular mission and those determined to stop them. The film has dominated the winter box office, holding the top spot in ticket sales and advance bookings. Harbin is now playing in theaters to critical and audience acclaim.
