In the latest episode of tvN and TVING’s original drama No Gain No Love, Shin Mina reunites with Kim Young Dae at the office after a three-month separation.
The fourth episode, which aired on the 3rd, achieved a nationwide average rating of 3.9% and peaked at 4.7% on paid platforms. The drama also secured the number one spot in its time slot across all channels, including terrestrial, for viewers aged 20 to 49, according to Nielsen Korea.
In the episode, Son Hae Young (Shin Mina) unexpectedly encounters her missing contract husband Kim Ji Wook (Kim Young Dae), who has joined her company, as a new employee. The unpredictable storyline follows their first night of marriage, where Hae Young and Ji Wook spend the night at a hotel. During this time, Hae Young playfully teases Ji Wook for his awkwardness with any type of physical touch and begins to wonder about his true identity, knowing little about him beyond his name, face, and age. Noticing Hae Young’s frustration, Ji Wook opens up to her for the first time about his life, and for a brief moment, Hae Young sees him as her real husband and family, which moves him deeply.
Afterward, Hae Young embarks on a solo honeymoon, while Ji Wook disappears without a word. Three months later, Hae Young triumphantly wins a company competition with an idea her ex-boyfriend, Woo Jae, had previously stolen from her, earning her a promotion to team leader.
Hae Young frequently visits the convenience store where Ji Wook used to work, hoping to see him, but instead encounters a new part-timer (Byeon Woo Seok). Feeling hurt that Ji Wook left the job without informing her, Hae Young is visibly upset.
The episode ends with Ji Wook making a surprise reappearance, now sporting a neat haircut. He smiles warmly at her, saying, “I missed you, my customer,” leaving fans eager for more.
Episode 5 of No Gain No Love is scheduled to air 10 minutes earlier than usual on the 9th at 8:40 PM KST on tvN, with simultaneous release on TVING.
