Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook will perform a uniquely romantic duet in the upcoming tvN drama, “He is the Black Dragon,” scheduled for release in 2025.
On July 12, tvN officially announced the casting of Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook for this new series, adapted from the popular Naver webtoon written by Hye Jin Yang. The story follows two characters who first meet as opponents in an online game, then meet again 16 years later as boss and employee.
Moon Ga Young will play Baek Soo Jung, head of the planning team at Yongseong department store. Known for her relentless ambition, she has worked her way to the top of the department store industry. More used to fighting than waiting, she however has an embarrassing past that she would prefer to forget: an enemy in an online game nicknamed “Black Dragon”, who reappears in her life in the guise of her new boss, Ban Joo Yeon.
Choi Hyun Wook will play the role of Ban Joo Yeon, head of strategic planning at Yongseong. After a traumatic incident, Ban Joo Yeon hides his true identity as the “Black Dragon” he had in middle school, and chooses to live as the perfect heir to a chaebol family. That’s when he reunites with his former online gaming rival and first love, “Strawberry” Baek Soo Jung, now his subordinate.
The production team commented, “Moon Ga Young will woo the audience with her charming performance. Choi Hyun Wook skillfully navigates between a chic boss and a free soul guided by his heart. Their undeniable chemistry will be a strong point of the series. »
“He is the Black Dragon” is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025.
