Kim Yoo Jung has reportedly confirmed her next project.

On June 4th, Starnews exclusively reported that Kim Yoo Jung has been cast in the upcoming drama Dear X (literal title).

Based on a webtoon of the same name, Dear X tells the story of a woman who manipulates others to achieve her dreams of success. She climbs to the top as an actress but eventually faces a dramatic downfall. The series is both a biographical tale and a love story about a man who remains by her side through it all.

In the drama, Kim Yoo Jung will play Baek Ah Jin, a character with a stunning appearance and a kind, gentle nature. However, she reveals her demonic side to those who cross her, ruthlessly punishing them. Baek Ah Jin is a sociopath who manipulates those around her to achieve her desires, demonstrating keen insight into others’ intentions.

The show will be directed by Lee Eung Bok, known for his work on Descendants of the Sun, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Jirisan, and Netflix’s Sweet Home series. Choi Ja Won, who won the Grand Prize at the 2018 KBS Drama Special Script Contest, pens the script, while Monster Union handles production.
