Helmed by director Ahn Pan Seok of the hit drama “Something in the Rain,” tvN’s “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is a love story set against the backdrop of Daechi, a neighborhood known as the epicenter of private education in Korea due to its high concentration of hagwons (private educational institutions).
Spoilers
On the previous episode of “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon,” cracks began to form in the alliance between Woo Seung Hee (Kim Jung Young) and Choi Hyung Sun (Seo Jeong Yeon).
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming finale, Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won) and Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) boldly head to Choi Hyung Sun’s hagwon for an epic confrontation. Lee Joon Ho has a determined expression on his face, while Seo Hye Jin even wears a relaxed smile; both seem to have come a long way from when they first shaken by their scandal.
Meanwhile, things seem to have changed between Woo Seung Hee and Choi Hyung Sun as well. During a tense meeting between the two women, Woo Seung Hee looks upset as she indignantly argues with Choi Hyung Sun, who coldly gazes back at her with a mocking smile.
A final photo captures Seo Hye Jin collapsed on the ground with Lee Joon Ho by her side, piquing curiosity as to what will unfold between the four instructors at Choisun Academy.
The drama’s production team teased, “Today’s finale will feature the ending of the teacher-student scandal that turned the neighborhood of Daechi upside down. Please stay tuned to find out if Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho will be able to ‘graduate’ by making a wise choice.”
The series finale of “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” will air on June 30 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
