Actress Kim Da Mi recently shared her thoughts on taking breaks and disconnecting from her phone. In a new video released on the YouTube channel Dazed Korea titled “What’s in my home? Homebody Kim Da Mi’s nine essential items in her home,” she answers a variety of questions about her lifestyle.

Kim shared that she is currently enjoying some downtime after finishing filming about a month or two ago. “I’ve traveled to Japan and Australia, and I’m finally going on trips I’ve been postponing for a while,” she explained.

When asked about the longest time she spent at home, she reflected, “After graduating high school and before starting college, I had plenty of free time. I think I stayed home for about two weeks during that period, which was probably my longest stretch. I remember binge-watching movies like ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Harry Potter’ that I had downloaded.”

In response to a question about her favorite activities at home, she chuckled and said, “Honestly, I don’t do much. I watch YouTube and occasionally cook, filling my entire day.”

Kim Da Mi then listed her nine essential items for the home, starting with her smartphone. She explained, “I think it’s the most important. Without my phone, I feel like I could do so much more at home. In the past, I used my phone to watch movies, browse YouTube, and look up information, but now I try to keep it away from me. I really want to relax at home, so I’m trying to distance myself from my phone.” Alongside her phone, she mentioned other must-have items, including a pillow, blackout curtains, lighting, hairpins, a coffee machine, a diffuser, seaweed, and natto.

She emphasized her love for cooking rice, calling seaweed a staple that enhances any dish. “I feel like something’s missing without it,” she said. Kim Da Mi also mentioned freezing natto and enjoying it with seaweed for a nutritious breakfast, stating it leaves her feeling great.
