Hyeri and Jang Ki Yong recently reminisced about their famed couple photoshoot during an episode of Hyells Club, a segment in Hyeri’s YouTube channel, where Jang Ki Yong appeared as a guest on the 17th.
During the conversation, Hyeri discussed their chemistry in the drama My Roommate Is a Gumiho, specifically noting its popularity in Japan. She proudly stated, “We are considered to be in the top tier in the drama couple photoshoots. Even if people haven’t seen the drama, they’ve seen the photos.” Jang Ki Yong echoed her sentiment, saying, “We really did hit the top.”
Hyeri confessed, “I was really nervous at the time. I don’t have much experience with photoshoots, especially not couple photoshoots. I was kind of nervous and out of sorts, but you seemed really comfortable. It was your moment to shine as the model and actor. I followed your lead, and the results were great.”
Jang Ki Yong recalled, “I think I mentioned this before, but as soon as I saw your solo shots, I thought, ‘This is going to turn out great.’ Your hair and makeup were really beautiful. I could envision Shin Woo Yeo and Dam together. You did so well.” He added with a laugh, “Our faces were in great condition that day.”
Hyeri agreed, laughing, “We shot it during our break after the drama ended. Our look from four years ago was captured perfectly.” Jang Ki Yong chimed in, “We had great chemistry. You suggested, ‘Let’s just have fun while shooting,’ and that’s exactly what we did. The pictures turned out so beautifully.”
