Girl’s Day’s Hyeri’s upcoming drama has confirmed its cast lineup!
On July 23, STUDIO X+U announced that Chung Su Bin, Kang Hye Won, and Oh Woo Ri will be joining Hyeri in the upcoming drama “Friendly Rivalry” (literal title).
Additionally, it was reported that GOT7’s Youngjae will also be part of the cast, although his representative has yet to comment on the report.
Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller drama that delves into the intense relationships and fierce competition among teenage girls at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, a school for the top one percent.
Hyeri will portray Yoo Jae Yi, a genius student from a privileged family with good looks and a high IQ. Despite attending a school for the top one percent, Yoo Jae Yi consistently ranks in the top 0.1 percent.
Chung Su Bin will play Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who catches Yoo Jae Yi’s attention. Woo Seul Gi comes from an orphanage and becomes obsessed with her grades to survive at Chaehwa Girls’ High School.
Kang Hye Won will take on the role of Joo Ye Ri, the school’s gossip queen. Joo Ye Ri values things that others can see and thus is obsessed with her appearance and luxury items.
Oh Woo Ri will portray Choi Kyung, who is perpetually stuck in second place due to Yoo Jae Yi.
“Friendly Rivalry” is set to premiere on U+Mobile TV in the first half of 2025.
