Cha Seung Won, Park Hee Soon and Yoon Ga Yi may be starring in a new thriller film together!
On July 16, Korean media outlets reported that Cha Seung Won, Park Hee Soon, and Yoon Ga Yi are in talks to star in director Park Chan Wook’s new film. Previously, Lee Byung Hun, Son Ye Jin, and Yoo Yeon Seok also received offers to star in the film and are reviewing the offers favorably.
In response to the reports, Cha Seung Won’s agency YG Entertainment revealed, “Cha Seung Won has indeed received an offer for director Park Chan Wook’s project. Discussions are currently underway.”
Likewise, Park Hee Soon’s agency IOK Company stated, “We received the offer and are currently reviewing it.”
Oui Entertainment, representing Yoon Ga Yi, informed, “Yoon Ga Yi participated in auditions for director Park Chan Wook’s new film. Her casting is undecided at this time. If confirmed, she will give her best.”
Cha Seung Won and director Park Chan Wook recently collaborated on Netflix’s original film “Uprising,” scheduled for release later this year. Meanwhile, if Park Hee Soon and Yoon Ga Yi are confirmed to star in the film, it will be their first collaboration with Park Chan Wook. Moreover, if Yoon Ga Yi’s casting is finalized, it will mark her debut in a commercial film, setting the stage for her continued career as an actress.
Interest is also focused on the potential reunion between Cha Seung Won and Lee Byung Hun. While they shared the screen in the 2022 drama “Our Blues,” their interactions were limited, raising anticipation for their possible collaboration in this new project.
