“All of Us Are Dead” has set the bar for upcoming thriller K-dramas by generating huge buzz on the global stage. After the massive success of “Squid Game”, local and international viewers have become interested in another Netflix series, which combines action, thriller and horror into one K-drama.
Inspired by the webtoon of the same name, the series tells the story of a zombie outbreak in which Hyosan High School finds itself at the center of the action and where a few students, played by Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Lomon , Cho Yi Hyun and many others, fight for their survival as they fight their way out. Upon its first broadcast in January 2022, “All of Us Are Dead” immediately became one of the most watched series of the year. The public’s enthusiasm therefore encouraged Netflix and those responsible for the series to renew it.
Season 2 of “All of Us Are Dead”
During Netflix’s Geeked Week, the streaming giant confirmed season 2 of the highly anticipated “All of Us Are Dead” saying, “Get ready to escape even more Gen Z zombies, because “All of Us Are Dead” returns for season 2.
While fans are eager to see the sequel in 2024, media reports speculate that Netflix will release the K-zombie series in 2025. This assumption is explained by the fact that “Squid Game” season 2, which is also the one of Netflix’s original series, will be broadcast for the first time during the second half of 2024. We can read in the report: “If we assume that Squid Game is released towards the end of 2024, All of Us Are Dead season 2 could therefore be released at the beginning of 2025.
