Sakaguchi Kentaro, the star of the Coupang Play series What Comes After Love, has been making waves with his recent appearances on various Korean YouTube channels, including a memorable episode of “Not Much Prepared” hosted by singer and entertainer Lee Young Ji.

In the video released on October 18th, Lee revealed her longtime admiration for Kentaro, even confessing that “my messenger profile picture in middle school was of Kentaro-san.” The two had previously met at the AAA Awards, making this their second encounter. As Lee emphasized her “true fan” status, Kentaro expressed his gratitude, saying, “I was really happy when you told me you watched my work.”

During the episode, the duo discussed What Comes After Love and whether it was possible to rekindle love after a breakup. Kentaro commented, “I think it’s possible. Once you’ve made a connection with someone, that bond doesn’t just disappear. Even after five years, the process of mending that relationship is part of love’s evolution.” Lee enthusiastically agreed with his sentiment.

Since “Not Much Prepared” is known for its laid-back, alcohol-fueled chats, Kentaro was also asked about his drinking habits. He revealed, “When I drink, I get really happy and tend to hug my friends,” making Lee Young Ji blush.

Beyond his appearance on “Not Much Prepared,” Kentaro has been showcasing his charms on various digital platforms. On the popular channel Dingo’s “You Did Well Today,” he met with a dedicated fan, surprising her with a stroll through Gyeongbokgung Palace and a coffee date. As a mentor, Kentaro offered advice and heartfelt encouragement to the fan, who had recently shifted career paths from French horn performance to singing.

Meanwhile, Kentaro’s latest series What Comes After Love, co-starring Lee Se Young, has been gaining significant traction across multiple streaming platforms.

According to Rakuten Viki, the show reached the number one spot in 103 countries, including the U.S., Brazil, France, the U.K., New Zealand, and India, just two weeks after its release. It also topped the charts on Asia’s Viu platform, ranking first in Indonesia and landing in the top five in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
