Lee Haeum, the younger sister of TWICE’s Jihyo, is stepping into the spotlight with her debut as an actress.
On September 26th, Starhaus Entertainment confirmed that Lee Haeum will star in the upcoming short-form drama Tendering Resignation (literal title), securing the lead role in her very first project.
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Tendering Resignation is set in the corporate world, focusing on the relationships and conflicts that arise at the fictional company “Uyeon Trade.” The drama explores themes of workplace struggles and love among female coworkers.
Lee Haeum will take on the role of Oh Geum Hee, a diligent workaholic who serves as the deputy in the company’s overseas trade team. Her character’s overly responsible nature and unique chemistry with her boss, Kang Tae Ri, and others are expected to leave a strong impression on viewers.
Sharing her thoughts on the role, Lee Haeum expressed both excitement and nerves, saying, “I was nervous about taking on such a significant role in my first project, but I was also incredibly excited. I had a great time filming, thanks to the support of so many people.” She added, “Playing Geum Hee was a valuable experience, and I hope viewers enjoy the drama since I worked hard preparing for it.”
Starhaus Entertainment also expressed confidence in her debut, stating, “We’re sure Lee Haeum will showcase a new side of herself through this drama. We ask for your love and support.”
Lee Haeum first gained attention when she appeared alongside her sister, Jihyo, on MBC’s I Live Alone last year, where it was revealed that she is also pursuing a modeling career.
