Jung Hae In recently reflected on his first lead role in the hit drama Something in the Rain during an appearance on KBS’s AM Plaza, where he was promoting his new film I, the Executioner, alongside Hwang Jung Min.

“‘Something in the Rain’ was my first time playing a lead,” Jung Hae In shared. “And my co-star was Son Ye Jin, which made it all the more intimidating. I was already feeling the pressure of transitioning from supporting roles to leading a drama, and then being paired with a star like Son Ye Jin, who’s way more senior in the industry, made it even harder,” he admitted. “But she made everything so comfortable for me, and I ended up having a lot of fun on set.”

He also expressed his deep connection to the project, saying, “It’s a drama that received so much love from the audience, so I’m really grateful. It’s a project I’ll never forget.”

Jung Hae In currently stars in the action-packed crime thriller I, the Executioner, where he plays rookie detective Park Seon Woo, teaming up with Hwang Jung Min’s character, veteran Detective Seo Do Cheol, to hunt down a notorious serial killer. The film is now showing in theaters nationwide.
