Sad news, everyone: “Meet You at the Blossom” is already over! From the perilous love between Jin Xiao Bao (Wang Yun Kai) and Zong Zheng Huai En (Leslie Li) to the beautifully choreographed fight scenes, this series seriously lived up to its expectations as the first uncensored wuxia BL to grace drama land.

Even though it’s over, the drama’s most memorable moments are still fresh in our minds. Here are six of them that’ll make you want to watch it all over again (or for the first time).

Warning: some spoilers ahead (not all of them)!

1. Xiao Bao mistakes Huai En for a beautiful woman – episode 1

I mean, you can’t blame him. Huai En is that beautiful.

If you didn’t already know, this drama is actually a gender-bender, but it only lasts for about one episode. Be that as it may, it’s really, really fun while it lasts.

This all starts when a love-struck Xiao Bao runs into Huai En and mistakes him for a beautiful woman (“a fairy” in his words). Because Huai En is already after something the Jin family is said to have, he plays along, going around with Xiao Bao dressed in women’s clothing. Not without some sass though.

2. Xiao Bao’s tortured and his family imprisoned – episodes 6-7

Episode 6 is definitely where the story begins to take on a more serious tone. Not only is Xiao Bao and his family taken from their home and imprisoned, but Xiao Bao is also tortured. It wasn’t a good era, to say the least.

During his imprisonment, Xiao Bao is poisoned, leading his friends, a miracle doctor, and eventually Huai En on a long and difficult journey to cure him.

This part certainly isn’t re-watchable because it’s enjoyable, but it’s a gripping scene that shows a different side to the typically happy-go-lucky Xiao Bao. The poor guy had to be strong for his family’s sake, and he definitely pulled through the pain.

3. Huai En’s locked up by his father – episode 7

Soon after Xiao Bao, Huai En joins the club of imprisonment. In the name of love of course.

When Huai En has had enough of hurting Xiao Bao by blindly following his father’s demands, Huai En finally speaks out against him. Unsurprisingly, this just lands him in massive chains. His abusive and manipulative father doesn’t really take no for an answer.

Though his imprisonment was brief, the whole scene was certainly a spectacle.

4. Su Yin and Huai En face off – episode 10

There’s always been a rivalry between Su Yin (Li Jun Liang) and Huai En, and they finally got to battle it out in episode 10.

Though it was never explicitly shown or said that Su Yin had romantic feelings beyond brotherhood for Xiao Bao, Huai En always had an inkling that there was something more between Su Yin and Xiao Bao. Seeing them take out their swords and finally hash things out wuxia-style was really intense.

This is also when Xiao Bao, trying to protect Su Yin, ends up stabbing Huai En, which actually didn’t even break through skin. It was more of an aggressive poke. That is, until Huai En himself pushes the sword into his chest, thinking hurting himself would get Xiao Bao to forgive him. It didn’t work out that way, but good try Huai En.

5. Xiao Bao and Huai En make up with a kiss – episode 12

The moment that everyone waits for: a kiss!

For a hot minute, it looked like Xiao Bao and Huai En wouldn’t be able to reconcile after everything that had happened, and Huai En was going to have to resort to his not-so-moral ways of coercing Xiao Bao to do what he wanted (locking him up and keeping him to himself, for instance). But they do finally talk it out and forgive each other, and it made up for all the tears and pain in the previous episodes.

Though the two have certainly kissed and then some off camera, this is the first time in the season watchers got to see a kiss on screen. And how emotional it was.

After experiencing so much loss, pain, and betrayal, this was the ultimate way to show the two finally accepting each other’s love. This love is final sale—no returns accepted!

6. Xiao Bao and Huai En settle into their new home – episode 12

Domestic husbands living a happy life with a roof over their head, food on the table, and friends and family by their side. What more of an ending could you ask for?

It’s so good to see Xiao Bao back to his bubbly, happy self, and Huai En finally having a true home while surrounded by people who care about him is the perfect ending.
