Eagle-eyed fans noticed a surprising omission at an upcoming exhibition showcasing HYBE artists’ stage outfits and concept photos. NewJeans, the label’s latest girl group, is missing from the lineup. HYBE clarified that the decision on participating artists was made by the individual labels, not HYBE itself.
The Grammy Museum announced the exhibition, titled “HYBE: We Believe In Music,” which will run from August 2nd to September 15th. Described as an interactive experience, the exhibition aims to highlight HYBE’s influence as a trendsetting global entertainment powerhouse. The museum website noteds it was planned in collaboration with HYBE.
Scheduled to participate are artists like Zico, BTS, Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TOHERS, I’LL-IT, and the recently debuted KATSEYE. What sparked confusion is the inclusion of KATSEYE, who debuted less than a month ago, while NewJeans, from HYBE’s sub-label ADOR, was not listed in the participants.
Netizens chimed in with comments like, “Seriously, no NewJeans?” and “Hold on, KATSEYE’s there but not NewJeans?” highlighting the unexpected choice.
HYBE, however, maintains that the decision to participate rested with the individual labels, not with HYBE itself.
