The upcoming youth movie “Victory” has shared a sneak peek of Park Se Wan’s character!
Directed by Park Beom Soo, “Victory” is a youth film starring Hyeri, Park Se Wan, Lee Jung Ha, Jo Aram and others. The film depicts the story of Geoje Commercial High School’s cheerleading team Millennium Girls, where eight team members with unique personalities are gathered. Set in the backdrop of 1999, “Victory” follows the passionate story of best friends Pil Seon (Hyeri) and Mi Na (Park Se Wan) as they put together a cheerleading team in order to be able to dance.
Mi Na is a high school student who lives for style. At school, she focuses on her appearance, but at home, she helps her parents run their family restaurant and takes care of her younger siblings. As the eldest daughter, Mi Na embodies a strong sense of responsibility and warmth.
Though Mi Na initially knows only hip hop, she begins learning cheerleading with Pil Seon to create a dance practice space. Her journey into cheerleading reveals new charms and radiates vibrant energy that is sure to uplift viewers.
Park Se Wan brings Mi Na to life with flair, dressing her in baggy pants, a T-shirt, a backward snapback, and even carrying a lollipop. To capture the look of a 1999 high school student, Park Se Wan added authentic details like gluing down her bangs and adding hair streaks, making Mi Na’s style vibrant and genuine.
Park Se Wan said, “To prepare for Mi Na, I worked on capturing her playful swagger as a teen who wants to be the cool older sister to her friends.” She added, “‘Victory’ pushed me beyond my limits.”
Director Park Beom Soo praised Park Se Wan, saying, “She’s an exceptionally talented actress. I was impressed by her skill and knew I wanted to work with her. As the heart of the Millennium Girls, her character Mi Na comes to life vividly through her performance.”
“Victory” is set to premiere on August 14. Stay tuned!
