SBS’s upcoming drama “Connection” has shared stills of Kwon Yool!
“Connection” is a new crime thriller starring Ji Sung as Jang Jae Kyung, an ace detective of the narcotics unit who becomes forcibly addicted to a drug. Jeon Mi Do will star as Oh Yoon Jin, an opinionated and outspoken reporter who works at a newspaper. The drama is a collaboration between director Lee Tae Gon and writer Lee Hyun, who previously worked together for JTBC’s “Diary of a Prosecutor.”
Kwon Yool plays Park Tae Jin, a prosecutor at the Anhyun District Prosecutors’ Office who possesses a sharp mind and outstanding networking abilities. Park Tae Jin is a trusted aide to Won Jong Soo (Kim Kyung Nam) and a key member of the “inner circle” of friends who are at odds with Jang Jae Kyung and Oh Yoon Jin.
The first set of stills captures Park Tae Jin overseeing the proceedings at a funeral home while wearing mourning clothes and a mourner’s armband. He appears calm and collected despite the sudden passing of his friend.
In another set of stills, Park Tae Jin is seen working diligently as a prosecutor at the Anyang District Prosecutors’ Office. He exudes a powerful aura with his sharp gaze and stern facial expression.
On why he chose to star in “Connection,” Kwon Yool revealed, “When I was reading the script, I realized that I was guessing and wondering who the culprit was, and that’s when I knew I had to do this project.”
Encouraging viewers to watch the drama, Kwon Yool noted, “I think it would be great if you watched the drama while wondering about what the character of Park Tae Jin has portrayed up until now and how his story will unfold.”
Kwon Yool added, “I am confident that ‘Connection’ is a drama that no one will forget, even if they only watch one episode.”
The production team of “Connection” commented, “Kwon Yool is an actor who becomes a completely different person before and after he starts filming,” adding, “Please look forward to the premiere of ‘Connection’ to see Kwon Yool’s passionate acting and impactful transformation.”
“Connection” will premiere on May 24 at 10 p.m. KST.
