Zico celebrates his 10th solo debut anniversary with his track “SPOT” ft. Jennie maintaining its long-term success streak.
YouTube Music, the global music streaming platform, couldn’t contain its excitement as Zico’s digital single “SPOT” crossed the 100 million streams mark on June 2, just a month after its release on April 25. This is Zico’s second track to achieve this feat, with the first one, “Any Song,” already surpassing 250 million streams.
“SPOT” featuring BLACKPINK Jennie’s official music video also surpassed 50 million views on the music platform. In addition, “SPOT” also topped Melon and Genie’s monthly charts for May, achieving a rare record by reaching number one on the real-time, daily, weekly, and monthly charts of major South Korean music sites.
On the largest music streaming platform, Spotify, Zico maintains a steady listener base with 10 million active listeners, proving his long-run popularity worldwide.
“SPOT” ft. Jennie is Zico’s first 2024 track, marking his 10th anniversary as a solo artist. The song captures an unadorned moment between two old friends who meet by chance at a party. Zico, an all-around, multi-talented artist and charismatic idol, continues making waves as he helms KBS2’s “The Seasons” as an MC, which airs every Friday at 10 pm, KST.
