The upcoming drama “High School Return of a Gangster” has unveiled the first stills of Yoon Chan Young and Golden Child’s Jaehyun!
“High School Return of a Gangster” is a fantasy drama that tells the story of a gangster whose soul accidentally enters the body of a 19-year-old high school outcast. Having wanted to go to college, he forms a new friendship with a student who suffers from domestic violence and uses his skills to punish bullies.
Yoon Chan Young plays dual roles as both the 19-year-old high school outcast Song Yi Heon as well as 47-year-old gangster Kim Deuk Pal who possesses Song Yi Heon’s body. The newly released stills highlight the stark contrast between the two characters.
Song Yi Heon, with his long hair and downward gaze, exudes a gloomy atmosphere. As an outcast at school, he has no one to lean on.
However, after Kim Deuk Pal enters his body, Song Yi Heon transforms, exuding a commanding presence with his piercing gaze. The weak and dull image of Song Yi Heon is completely gone, replaced by an overwhelming aura that can instantly dominate his opponents.
Golden Child’s Jaehyun portrays Choi Se Kyung, a model student excelling in academics, appearance, and physical strength, yet carrying hidden pain. He shares a special bond with Song Yi Heon and is the only one to notice his changes. Even after Song Yi Heon’s transformation, Choi Se Kyung remains by his side while also dealing with his own turbulent confusion.
The stills capture Choi Se Kyung’s warm smile and cheerful demeanor as he is surrounded by friends, embodying the quintessential model student vibe. The question remains: what secret pain does the bright Choi Se Kyung carry?
“High School Return of a Gangster” will premiere on May 29 through Wavve, TVING, and Watcha.
