MBC’s “When the Phone Rings” has shared a sneak peek of a tense confrontation from its next episode!
Based on a popular web novel, “When the Phone Rings” tells the story of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), a couple that married for convenience—and the the romance that blossoms between them after a threatening phone call.

On the first episode of the drama, the couple faced turbulence in their frosty contract marriage when Hong Hee Joo was kidnapped. Although her abductor called Baek Sa Eon and threatened to kill Hong Hee Joo, Baek Sa Eon responded coldly—causing his wife to explode in rage.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Hong Hee Joo unexpectedly turning out to be the person calling and threatening Baek Sa Eon from the party after she got her hands on her kidnapper’s phone.
Newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming second episode pique curiosity as to whether Hong Hee Joo has been found out. Still dressed in the outfits they wore to the embassy party, the couple shares a serious conversation as Baek Sa Eon grills a nervous Hong Hee Joo about every last detail of her kidnapping.
