Yoo Ah In is mourning the loss of his father, Uhm Yeong In.
The news of the actor’s father’s passing was confirmed today by My Daily. According to reports, Yoo Ah In’s father passed away after a battle with illness. The funeral will be held at Daegu Catholic University Hospital Funeral Home, with the burial scheduled for August 9th at Myeongbok Park. Yoo Ah In’s agency, UAA, stated they are currently gathering information about the situation.
In the past, Yoo Ah In has spoken openly about his family on a television program, sharing his close relationship with his mother. He also revealed that he had recently deepened his connection with his father. He said, “I’ve always been closer to my mother. Even as a child, I’d choose her over my dad without hesitation. It’s only recently that I’ve started to think about my father more. For the first time, I called him and said, ‘I love you.’ Gathering the courage to tell him I love him felt strange and good at the same time.”
