YG Entertainment has addressed reports regarding an upcoming meetup involving 2NE1 and Yang Hyun Suk.
On June 25, OSEN reported that all four members confirmed plans to meet with executive producer Yang Hyun Suk in the coming days. The report added that this development has sparked anticipation for discussions about reunion and comeback projects.
In response to the report, YG Entertainment briefly stated to Newsen, “It is true that the executive producer and the members are scheduled to meet. Other than that, we have no further details to confirm at this time.”
Previously, according to music industry sources, 2NE1 leader CL and Yang Hyun Suk recently had dinner together. YG Entertainment responded to Newsen on May 17, stating, “It was not an official company meeting, and we cannot confirm further details at this time.”
2NE1 marked their 15th debut anniversary on May 17. Members CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Minzy celebrated by sharing group photos, exciting fans about a possible reunion. This was the first time 2NE1 shared a group photo since their appearance together at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
After 2NE1 disbanded in November 2016, the members sequentially left YG Entertainment and joined different management agencies.
