Upcoming drama “A Virtuous Business” has shared the first glimpse of Yeon Woo Jin’s character!
A remake of the British television series “Brief Encounters,” “A Virtuous Business” will tell the story of the independence, growth, and friendship of four women who delve into door-to-door sales of adult products in a rural village back in 1992, when it was still taboo to talk about sex. Kim So Yeon will transform into the virtuous housewife Han Jung Sook, who won a local beauty pageant with her beautiful appearance.
Yeon Woo Jin will star as Kim Do Hyun, a detective with a 90s American-style soft charisma who gets reassigned from the prestigious Gangnam Police Station to the remote Geumje precinct.
The released stills capture Kim Do Hyun’s first appearance in Geumje. He arrives in style, driving a luxury Jeep that one would only see in movies.
Detective Kim Do Hyun’s transfer shakes up the Geumje Police Station. Having attended high school in the United States, Do Hyun returned to Korea, graduated from the police academy, and quickly rose through the ranks at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station. However, there is a story behind why Do Hyun ended up in Geumje, a place where he has no connections, that has yet to be revealed.
The production team remarked, “Do Hyun is an unconventional character who seems out of place in the time and setting of ‘A Virtuous Business.’ This makes him even more intriguing and captivating, and Yeon Woo Jin has perfectly captured that mysterious aura.”
“A Virtuous Business” is set to premiere in October as the follow-up to “Romance in the House.” Stay tuned!
