KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Iron Family” has shared new stills of Yang Hye Ji!
Penned by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang of “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”), and “Wok of Love,” “Iron Family” is a dark comedy about a family that has run a laundry business for three generations.
Yang Hye Ji stars as Lee Cha Rim, the second daughter of the Cheongnyeom Laundry family and a well-known beauty in the neighborhood of Cheongnyeom. Employed as a designer at Jiseung Group, Cha Rim is recognized for her exceptional talent and dedication to work.
In the drama, Cha Rim has made significant sacrifices for her younger sister Lee Da Rim (Geum Sae Rok), who has a rare illness that progressively narrows her vision. However, tensions arise when financial issues related to eye surgery lead to conflicts between them. This dynamic will raise viewers’ curiosity about the hidden story behind the sisters and Cha Rim’s struggles with receiving less affection within the family.
In the newly released still, Lee Cha Rim is seen with a sharp, focused expression, wearing her employment card around her neck. Other images show her in both a school uniform and a casual outfit, highlighting a more innocent side of the character.
Viewers can also look forward to Lee Cha Rim’s interactions with her boss Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun) and a romantic subplot with Cha Tae Woong (Choi Tae Joon), a part-time worker at Cheongryeom Laundry.
“Iron Family” is scheduled to premiere in September as the follow-up to “Beauty and Mr. Romantic.”
