WINNER’s Song Mino is under police investigation after being formally booked on allegations of neglecting his duties as a public service worker.

On December 26, the Seoul Mapo Police announced they had booked Song Mino on December 23 on suspicion of violating the Military Service Act, following a request from the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) to investigate the matter. A summons date has not yet been determined.

Regarding this, an official from MMA stated, “We have requested a police investigation into Song Mino for violating the Military Service Act. After conducting an internal review, we determined that certain matters required further confirmation by the police.”

The police are now reviewing the details of the MMA’s request to determine if Song Mino breached the Military Service Act. If the allegations of negligence are confirmed, his discharge may be revoked, and he will be required to serve additional time to account for the period in question.

Song Mino, who officially completed his alternative military service on December 23, faced allegations of neglect during his duty after a report by Dispatch surfaced on December 17, claiming he failed to properly attend his assigned duties as a public service worker.
