Wi Ha Jun recently addressed rumors about earning 300 million won (approximately $200,000) per episode for Squid Game Season 2 during an interview on January 7th.

The actor clarified, “That’s an unconfirmed report. It’s just a rumor, and there’s no way of knowing.” However, he did admit, “My pay has gone up compared to the first season.”

Following his appearance in Squid Game Season 1, Wi Ha Jun has been constantly active, starring in a variety of works including Bad and Crazy, Little Women, The Worst of Evil, Gyeongseong Creature and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon.

“I felt I needed to grab opportunities when they came,” Wi Ha Jun shared. “Luckily, I got to work with great scripts and directors. I didn’t just take on anything randomly, so while it was physically demanding, I felt it was something I needed to do. Through the process, I was able to meet wonderful actors and directors and learn a lot.”

He also expressed his gratitude, saying, “After Squid Game Season 1, I’ve had the chance to work on many projects and make my own choices. It’s been a time of personal growth, and I’m really grateful for that.”
