Kim Nam Gil has shared his insights on what to expect in The Fiery Priest Season 2, set to premiere this November.

On Monday, the SBS Catch channel released behind-the-scenes footage from the poster shoot for The Fiery Priest Season 2.

The new season follows Father Kim Hae Il, a passionate priest who serves his congregation by day and leads the Angel Gang, a group committed to fighting crime, by night. Struggling with anger management issues, he embarks on a relentless mission to dismantle the country’s top drug cartel. After a five-year hiatus since the original series, anticipation for this sequel is building.

Kim Nam Gil introduced his character during the poster shoot, saying, “As you all know, I play Father Kim Hae Il, who has anger management issues. He can tolerate losses, but he cannot stand injustice.”

He highlighted that Season 2 will introduce new villains and characters, which will bring unique interactions to the storyline. “What’s exciting this time are the new villains,” he added, emphasizing the efforts of the cast and production team to match the excitement of the first season.

During the shoot, Kim Nam Gil showcased the dynamic energy of The Fiery Priest Season 2 with his signature kicking pose. Co-star Lee Ha Nee cheered him on, saying, “Kim Nam Gil, you look amazing!” and “You’ve got this, Kim!”

She also discussed her character’s evolution, stating, “If Kyung Sun were a prosecutor with questionable tendencies in Season 1, in Season 2, you’d see her actively supporting Hae Il as a righteous and passionate prosecutor.”

Kim thanked fans for their patience, stating, “You must have waited a long time for Season 2. We’re also excited and happy to finally share this with you.” He encouraged viewers to look forward to an upgraded viewing experience.

The Fiery Priest Season 2 will air its first episode on November 8, following The Judge from Hell.
