SBS has treated viewers to an exciting peek behind the scenes of “The Judge from Hell,” with the cast sharing their experiences on set and giving insight into their characters!
“The Judge from Hell” is a new fantasy romance drama starring Park Shin Hye as Kang Bit Na, a demon from hell who has entered the body of a judge. After meeting the compassionate detective Han Da On (Kim Jae Young), who works hard at his job in a reality harsher than hell, Kang Bit Na embarks on a journey to becoming a true judge.
Park Shin Hye kicks off the behind-the-scenes video by introducing her character Justitia, a demon from hell who takes over the body of Kang Bit Na, a human judge. The video then cuts to the filming of a scene in which Justitia, now in Bit Na’s body, boldly declares her demonic identity in front of medical staff. Park Shin Hye confesses that she was initially worried about how viewers would interpret the scene and how her performance would be received, but credits the director for reassuring her that the scene would turn out well.
Next, actor Kim Jae Young, who plays Han Da On, reflects on his first day of filming. He expresses satisfaction with how smoothly things went, attributing much of his comfort on set to Park Shin Hye, who took great care of him during the shoot.
Kim In Kwon, who portrays Goo Man Do, adds a lighthearted touch by humorously describing his character assisting Judge Bit Na on a shopping spree. He also expresses his joy at reuniting with Park Shin Hye 15 years after they starred together in “You’re Beautiful.”
The video also features actress Kim Ah Young, who plays Lee Ah Rong, discussing her first scene in the drama, which was filmed at a restaurant. Kim Ah Young reveals that she was initially nervous but found comfort in working with her senior actors and the director, which allowed her to settle into her role.
The making-of video concludes with the cast expressing their hopes for the drama’s success and encouraging viewers to tune in. Park Shin Hye in particular shares her excitement about playing a more dynamic and powerful character than what fans are accustomed to seeing from her.
