Upcoming film “Forbidden Fairytale” has released a new poster and teaser!
With a star-studded cast led by Park Ji Hyun, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, and Sung Dong Il, “Forbidden Fairytale” follows Dan Bi, a woman who dreams of becoming a fairy tale writer but works as a public official cracking down on obscene content. When circumstances force her to write R-rated web novels, she unexpectedly discovers a hidden talent for explicit storytelling.
The newly released main poster catches the eye with a scene of aspiring fairy tale writer Dan Bi (Park Ji Hyun) being whispered to by her senior Jung Seok (Choi Siwon) and CEO Hwang (Sung Dong Il), a major figure in the adult web novel industry. With a mischievous grin, CEO Hwang appears to suggest Dan Bi write an R-rated web novel, while Jung Seok, smiling eagerly, seems to be anticipating her work. Above Dan Bi’s head, the tagline, “How far have you imagined?” in a devilish font builds excitement for the bold ideas ahead. The title “Forbidden Fairytale” sparks curiosity about how Dan Bi, once focused on writing fairy tales, will tap into her audacious talent in the adult web novel world.
The trailer opens with Dan Bi and her imaginary animal friends along with her confident declaration, “I will definitely succeed as a fairy tale writer.” But her confidence quickly fades when she becomes a government officer responsible for policing adult content. She’s warmly greeted by Jung Seok, a former ace of the enforcement team, while she laughs at the unexpected turn of events.
Dan Bi then crosses paths with CEO Hwang, who is protesting for freedom of expression. After a car accident, she agrees to write an R-rated web novel to settle a 100 million won (approximately $69,550) claim. Used to writing only fairy tales, Dan Bi struggles with the adult material. With Jung Seok’s help, she begins to write daring, edgy stories, hinting at a playful and provocative dynamic between them. Viewers will be left wondering if Dan Bi can overcome these challenges and debut as a fairy tale writer. The tagline, “There is no line that adults should not cross in their imagination,” suggests she will discover a bold new talent.
