Upcoming film “About Family” has released a special promotional video for the grand opening of Kim Yun Seok’s restaurant Pyungmanok!
“About Family” tells the story of the owner of Pyungmanok, a popular dumpling restaurant, who suddenly finds himself living with unexpected guests—adorable grandchildren he never knew he had. The owner, Ham Moo Ok (Kim Yun Seok), believed his family line had ended when his son Ham Moon Seok (Lee Seung Gi) became a monk.
The newly released video features introductions to the unique flavors of Pyungmanok, a renowned dumpling restaurant in Jongno run by Ham Moo Ok, a dumpling master with 38 years of experience.
The video, styled like a local cable television commercial, showcases the lively chemistry of the cast including Kim Yun Seok, Kim Sung Ryung, Lee Seung Gi, Park Soo Young, and Kang Han Na. The actors earnestly deliver lines such as, “Organic green onions, domestic pork, handmade dumpling wrappers, all in one bowl! Pyungmanok! Mung bean pancakes are on the house,” sparking curiosity. Particularly, Kim Yun Seok, who plays the long-time owner of Pyungmanok, convincingly promotes the restaurant’s authenticity by holding actual green onions and pork.
