Get ready for a heart-fluttering romance story that unfolds in the first episode of “Serendipity’s Embrace”!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Serendipity’s Embrace” will tell the story of young people finding true love and their dreams after accidentally running into their first love from 10 years ago. Kim So Hyun stars as Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love due to painful memories from her previous relationship—and who undergoes an unexpected change after running into Kang Hoo Young (Chae Jong Hyeop), who witnessed some of her lowest moments from her past.
In the teaser for the first episode, Kang Hoo Young and Lee Hong Joo cross paths on a bus, where Kang Hoo Young gently wakes her from sleep to help her disembark. Their initial encounter blossoms into a playful friendship throughout their school years. A decade later, fate reunites them on a blind date, reigniting their connection.
Complicating matters, Lee Hong Joo also reconnects with her high school sweetheart Bang Joon Ho (Yun Ji On), stirring jealousy in Kang Hoo Young, who still harbors feelings for her. The teaser concludes with a poignant exchange: Kim So Hyun reflects, “The first feelings can never be remembered again,” to which Kang Hoo Young quietly insists, “No, it’s not over yet.”
This sets the stage for a narrative of intertwined pasts, rekindled emotions, and uncertain futures in the lives of Kang Hoo Young and Lee Hong Joo.
