“The Fiery Priest” will soon be back with Season 2!
SBS’s “The Fiery Priest,” which first aired in 2019 and recorded a peak viewership rating of 22.0 percent, is about a Catholic priest with anger management issues and a cowardly detective who work together to solve a murder case. Kim Nam Gil, Honey Lee, Kim Sung Kyun, and more from Season 1 will be reprising their roles in the upcoming season.
The newly released teaser begins with the narration, “Devils are not nearly as dark as they appear in pictures,” previewing the start of the chaotic fight for justice by “fiery priest” Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil), prosecutor Park Kyung Sun (Honey Lee), and detective Goo Dae Young (Kim Sung Kyun).
When someone skeptically questions, “Are you really a priest?” Kim Hae Il boldly declares, “As you can see, I am a servant of God,” only to end up still being threatened.
Tthe atmosphere takes a turn for a change as the trio move operations to Busan. As they dive into a new case, Kim Hae Il insists, “No, this will work! This plan will definitely work!” However, the investigation appears to take on a strange spin, with Park Kyung Sun wondering, “Do we really have to go this far?”
As the fight for justice heats up, Kim Hae Il resolves, “We have to let all the devils know—the truth that God certainly exists somewhere.”
