Disney+ has unveiled an exciting first look at Ji Chang Wook and Doh Kyung Soo (EXO’s D.O.)’s upcoming drama “The Manipulated” (previously known as “Sculptured City”)!
On January 7, Disney+ teased its highly anticipated 2025 drama lineup including “The Manipulated,” which stars Ji Chang Wook, Doh Kyung Soo, Lee Kwang Soo, and Jo Yoon Soo.
Penned by Oh Sang Ho of the “Taxi Driver” series and “The Roundup : Punishment” (“The Outlaws 4”), “The Manipulated” is an action drama that follows Tae Joong (Ji Chang Wook), an ordinary man whose life is turned upside down when he is wrongfully imprisoned for a heinous crime. Upon discovering that everything was orchestrated by Yo Han (Doh Kyung Soo), he sets out on a journey of revenge.
Co-director Park Shin Woo shared his excitement about the series, saying, “I’m thrilled and eagerly looking forward to the release of ‘The Manipulated’ on Disney+. The story follows Tae Joong, an ordinary man whose mundane life is shattered when he becomes entangled in a brutal crime. His quest for bloody vengeance promises a compelling narrative and spectacular action that I believe viewers will find satisfying. Please look forward to it.”
Along with new stills, Disney+ also previewed its upcoming drama lineup through a jam-packed teaser. In one standout scene, Tae Joong is dressed in a prison uniform as he sits behind a glass during a visitation, resolutely declaring, “I’m going to get out of here.”
