The upcoming movie “Victory” has released new posters and a nostalgic teaser!
Directed by Park Beom Soo, “Victory” is a film about youth starring Hyeri, Park Se Wan, Lee Jung Ha, Jo Aram, and more. The film tells the story of Geoje Commercial High School’s cheerleading team Millennium Girls, where eight team members with unique personalities are gathered. Set against the backdrop of 1999, “Victory” follows passionate best friends Pil Sun (Hyeri) and Mi Na (Park Se Wan) as they form a cheerleading team in order to be able to dance.
The posters capture the vibrant energy of 11 characters from the film, each with their own unique charm. Reminiscent of the sticker photos popular at the end of the 20th century, the Y2K-inspired glossy frames exude a trendy vibe.
In 1999, aspiring dancer Pil Sun grabs attention in Geoje with her dance moves, wearing a baggy 2XL outfit and striking hip-hop poses. The caption showcases her lively charm by reading, “Dance is all about vibes!”
Pil Sun’s dance partner, Mi Na, adds a touch of playful arrogance to her look with her snapback and lollipop. The caption “Not a problem, no worries!” highlights Mi Na’s confidence and bright energy.
Goalkeeper Chi Hyung (Lee Jung Ha) of the Geoje High School soccer team stands out with his bright smile and the caption, “But still, he’s great at guarding!” The caption highlights his role as goalkeeper while also hinting at his long-standing unrequited love for Pil Sun.
Meanwhile, cheerleading team leader Se Hyun (Jo Aram) brings a different appeal with her poised and elegant look. The caption “Cheer up!” builds excitement about how Se Hyun, the only experienced cheerleader on the team, will guide the Millennium Girls.
Other characters featured in the posters include So Hee (Choi Ji Su), manager of the Millennium Girls; music expert Soon Jung (Baek Ha Yi); dance enthusiast Yong Soon (Kwon Yu Na); Taekwondo girl Sang Mi (Yeom Ji Young); team stylist Yu Ri (Lee Han Joo); dance expert Ji Hye (Park Hyo Eun); and soccer ace Dong Hyun (Lee Chan Hyung). The posters highlight each of the characters’ unique personality and charm.
Meanwhile, the newly released Millennium self-cam teaser introduces the Millennium Girls and Chi Hyung, showcasing their unique personalities. The camcorder effect and 1990s-style subtitles create a nostalgic feel reminiscent of arriving in 1999 Geoje.
Pil Sun, who dreams of being a backup dancer for Uhm Jung Hwa, is shown turning any space, from classrooms to arcades, into her stage. Her drive to leave Geoje for Seoul and become famous highlights her passion to pursue her dreams. Mi Na, who radiates positive energy, eagerly agrees to anything related to dancing or boasting. She fixes her hair with glue and humorously claims, “I dance a little better than Pil Sun,” displaying her confident charm as a style enthusiast.
Geoje High School goalkeeper Chi Hyung endears himself with his clumsy yet determined efforts to rise after every fall. Se Hyun, a veteran cheerleader from Seoul, showcases her flawless cheerleading skills and emerges as a strong leader for the Millennium Girls. Although she initially struggles with the Millennium Girls’ awkward cheerleading, she gradually begins to bond with them.
The Millennium Girls’ team also includes doomsday-believing manager So Hee, tech genius and mixer Soon Jung, dance enthusiast Yong Soon, Taekwondo girl Sang Mi, distinctive stylist Yu Ri, and dance master Ji Hye. The combination of the members’ unique personalities promises a lively dynamic and fun on-screen chemistry.
