Netflix’s “Hellbound 2” has shared a new making-of video that offers a peek behind the scenes of filming!
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Season 1 of “Hellbound” was set in a world where humans faced a frightening supernatural phenomenon: emissaries from hell that appeared on Earth without warning and condemned people to hell. In “Hellbound 2,” the plot thickens as Min Hye Jin (Kim Hyun Joo), a lawyer for Sodo, gets entangled with the New Truth Society, the Arrowhead faction, and the shocking resurrection of New Truth leader Jung Jin Su (Kim Sung Cheol) and Park Jung Ja (Kim Shin Rok).
The newly released video offers a glimpse into the production of “Hellbound 2.” It begins with Jung Jin Su saying, “You can freely enjoy the new world I created.” The video then cuts to director Yeon Sang Ho, who shares his thoughts about the new season. He reveals that Season 2 is set in a society where justice and law have completely collapsed, creating chaos. He discusses how resurrection will be a central theme, with the characters grappling with its implications.
Director Yeon Sang Ho also explains that Jung Jin Su has experienced the truth of hell and now worries only about his own fate, having distanced himself entirely from the grand ideology he created in Season 1. Along with the director’s narration, the video shows the drama’s actors, including Kim Sung Cheol, Kim Hyun Joo, Kim Shin Rok, Moon Geun Young, and Yang Ik Joon, filming under the director’s guidance.
The video concludes with director Yeon Sang Ho emphasizing the thrilling nature of “Hellbound,” likening the characters’ struggles to a chess game where each person plays with their own ideological logic. He assures viewers that they will not be disappointed and encourages everyone to look forward to the upcoming season.
