“Hijack 1971” will depict the extreme situation when an aircraft full of passengers gets hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971.

The newly released posters feature four characters each, whose lives hang in the balance amid the hijacking situation. Tae In (Ha Jung Woo) is seen with his face beaded with sweat as he takes control of the hijacked plane. Yeo Jin Goo’s portrayal of the hijacker Yong Dae exudes intensity through his piercing gaze, raising anticipation for Yeo Jin Goo’s acting transformation.  Gyu Sik (Sung Dong Il) is depicted with blood dripping down his forehead, while Ok Soon (Chae Soo Bin), the lone stewardess on board, wears a look of fear in her eyes, signifying their struggles against the crisis.

The accompanying teaser video provides a chronological glimpse into the characters’ backgrounds leading up to the current event. Tae In, a former Korean Air Force fighter pilot, faced discharge from the military after refusing to obey orders to shoot down a hijacked plane heading to North Korea. The Hijacker Yong Dae boards the flight with the desperate hopes of reuniting with his older brother after the loss of their mother.

Captain pilot Gyu Sik is a compassionate character who, despite sustaining injuries during the hijacking, maintains his composure and guides Tae In in steering the aircraft. Meanwhile, Ok Soon bravely takes care of the passengers even as she stands closest to the hijacker.
