On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “Dream Interpretations over Dreams” was revealed!
During the December 15 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, eight new contestants stepped up to challenge the reigning champion for the throne.
In the final match-up of Round 1, “Dream Interpretations over Dreams” went head-to-head through a duet version of Jung Seung Hwan’s beloved ballad “If It Is You.”

After their performance, the show offered a clue to the identity of “Dream Interpretations over Dreams” by revealing several photos from her childhood. As the masked singer started out in the industry as a child actress and model, she had taken photos with a number of famous actors, including Choi Soo Jong, Lee Bo Young, and Kim Sung Ryung.
Although she earned praise from the celebrity panel for her beautiful vocal tone, “Dream Interpretations over Dreams” ultimately lost the round to her opponent.
The masked singer then performed an emotional rendition of Block B’s Zico’s “It Was Love” featuring f(x)’s Luna. Halfway through, she took off her mask to reveal that she was none other than former PRISTIN member Xiyeon, who appeared on Mnet’s “Produce 101” before her debut as a singer.
When host Kim Sung Joo noted that it was her first time singing on stage in a long while, Xiyeon exclaimed, “Yes, I’m so, so nervous.” She went on to add, “Since I’d always performed on stage together with the other members, standing up here on my own, I felt so nervous. Because I’d never stood on stage alone before.”
Xiyeon then shared some happy news about her acting career, revealing, “Starting from this year, I’m going to be appearing in several productions again. So please look forward to my upcoming projects.”
