JTBC’s upcoming drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” has unveiled a new teaser!
“The Tale of Lady Ok” follows the intense survival con game of runaway slave Goo Deok Yi (Lim Ji Yeon), who assumes a false identity, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her.
The newly released teaser captures the fateful encounter between Goo Deok Yi, a slave living as the fake Ok Tae Young, and Cheon Seung Hwi, who discovers her secret. The video begins with the two bickering, then shifts to Cheon Seung Hwi enjoying skyrocketing popularity among the women of the town, showcasing another intriguing side of him.
Although Cheon Seung Hwi is a storyteller who has amassed wealth and fame, his heart remains solely with Goo Deok Yi. He shows his unwavering devotion by diving into danger without hesitation every time the fake Ok Tae Young is in trouble. In one scene, he even falls off a cliff while trying to protect her, revealing the depth of his devoted love.
Despite his devotion, the fake Ok Tae Young pleads with him, “Please, stop risking your life for me.” Though she appears firm, her tone is filled with desperation. But Cheon Seung Hwi remains undeterred, confessing that he fears neither death nor the consequences. The teaser ends with the two sitting in a field at night as Cheon Seung Hwi says in voice-over, “The days I spent with you were the happiest of my life.”
