tvN’s upcoming drama “The Queen Who Crowns” has unveiled a new teaser and posters!

“The Queen Who Crowns” will tell the story of the fiery life of Queen Won Kyung, a kingmaker who dreamed of a new world in the early days of the Joseon dynasty and made her husband, Lee Bang Won, a king with whom she shared the power of the throne. Although she was described in historical records only as “King Taejong’s wife” or “Mrs. Min” without her full name, the drama will reimagine history from the perspective of Queen Won Kyung, who lived an independent life without losing herself in spite of devastating betrayals and harsh reality.

Cha Joo Young of “The Glory” will star as Queen Won Kyung, marking her first foray into historical dramas, while Lee Hyun Wook will play her husband Lee Bang Won.

The first of two newly released posters captures Queen Won Kyung after her husband’s coronation, standing triumphantly before the world she had only dreamed of. Notably, both the moon and the sun—which symbolize Won Kyung and her husband Lee Bang Won respectively—can be seen in the sky at the same time, with the moon having risen slightly higher than the sun.

Meanwhile, in the second poster, Queen Won Kyung stands in the center of court at the palace that she has succeeded in entering.

Finally, the new teaser for the drama shows Won Kyung getting ready for her husband’s coronation. As she gets dressed, Won Kyung exudes an aura of power and dignity, and she ambitiously declares, “I dreamed of a new world.”

“The Queen Who Crowns” will premiere on January 6 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
