VANNER’s agency has revealed that Hyesung is currently undergoing treatment for mental health at a military hospital.

On December 9, KLAP Entertainment announced that Hyesung, who enlisted in the military in November, had been admitted to a military hospital two weeks into his training due to “pre-existing panic and mental health disorders.”

As it was determined at the training center that “it would be difficult for him to undergo training,” Hyesung is currently undergoing treatment “as directed by the Military Manpower Administration.”

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello.
This is KLAP Entertainment.

VANNER’s Hyesung entered a training center on November 4 in order to fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier. However, the training center determined that due to pre-existing panic and mental health disorders, it would be difficult for him to undergo training, and two weeks after he entered [the center], he was admitted to the Armed Forces Daejeon Hospital, where he received an in-depth examination.

Currently, Hyesung is undergoing treatment as directed by the Military Manpower Administration, and he will therefore be unable to attend the military training graduation ceremony that was scheduled for December 10.

We apologize for suddenly giving you cause for concern about Hyesung’s military service due to his health issues.
We will do our utmost so that Hyesung can focus on his treatment.

Thank you.

Wishing Hyesung a speedy and full recovery!
