BLACKPINK’s Jennie may be kicking off the summer with a solo comeback!
On March 31, News1 reported that Jennie was preparing to release a solo album in June, marking her first comeback since leaving YG Entertainment and establishing her own label OA (ODD ATELIER) last year.
Although Jennie is no longer signed to YG, she and the other three BLACKPINK members did renew their contracts for group activities—meaning that Jennie’s group activities with BLACKPINK will still be managed by YG Entertainment, while her solo activities will be managed by OA.
Jennie first made her solo debut in 2018 with the smash hit “SOLO,” and she recently released the special single “You & Me” this past October.
Meanwhile, Jennie is currently starring in the new tvN variety show “Apartment 404.”
Are you excited for Jennie’s potential solo return? Stay tuned for updates!
