Jin Ki Joo has been confirmed as the lead actress in MBC’s new drama Undercover High School (literal title), where she will star opposite Seo Kang Joon in his highly anticipated comeback project.

JTBC Entertainment News reported on the 23rd, “Jin Ki Joo will be playing the female lead, Oh Soo Ah, in ‘Undercover High School.’”

Undercover High School is a lively and exhilarating comedy-action drama about a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student. While navigating school life, he bonds with his peers, finds empathy, and experiences personal growth. Bad Prosecutor writer Lim Young Bin pens the script.

Seo Kang Joon’s involvement in this project, marking his return to acting after his military service, was exclusively reported by the outlet in March.

Jin Ki Joo will play Oh Soo Ah, a temporary teacher at Byeongmun High School who becomes the homeroom teacher of Seo Kang Joon’s undercover character, Jung Hae Sung. Jin Ki Joo recently starred in the Disney Plus original series Uncle Samsik, portraying the intelligent and rational Jo Yeo Jin. In Undercover High School, she aims to showcase a fresh image and spark dynamic romantic chemistry with Seo Kang Joon.

Meanwhile, Undercover High School is set to air on MBC early next year.
