Um Tae Goo recently remained tight-lipped about his thoughts on marriage.

On August 5th, Um Tae Goo sat down for an interview for the wrap of JTBC’s My Sweet Mobster. The actor appeared in a natural, unstyled look, wearing a simple khaki T-shirt, knee-length black shorts, sneakers, and glasses.

Um Tae Goo plays the role of Seo Ji Hwan, a reformed gangster in My Sweet Mobster, which tells the unexpected romance between Ji Hwan and a kids’ content creator. Known for his tough-guy roles in previous works, Um Tae Goo showcased a completely different, charming side in this romantic comedy with his soft eyes, delicate expressions, and husky voice.

Given that his character proposes in the show, many wondered if filming this romantic comedy made him think more seriously about marriage. Born in 1983, Um Tae Goo is now 42 years old. When asked about marriage, he simply replied, “I’ve talked about marriage too much in the past. I always say I want to get married, so I’m going to stay silent on the topic for now.”

In the past, during promotions for the 2021 film Night in Paradise, Um Tae Goo expressed a desire to marry, saying, “I’ve always had a vague thought that it would be nice to get married and have a family. I used to say that when I meet someone in the future, that person will be my ideal type. I think it would be nice to get married.”
