Light Shop is set at the only illuminated shop at the end of a dark alley, where mysterious customers with secrets begin to gather. Based on Kangfull’s original webtoon, the series is written by Kangfull himself, bringing his story to life following the success of his previous adaptation, Moving.

Seolhyun takes on the role of Lee Ji Young, a woman who sits alone at a bus stop every night. Speaking about how closely she aligns with the original character, Kim said, “I paid close attention to syncing my portrayal with the character from the webtoon while filming. Since the tone and voice don’t exist in the webtoon, there were parts where I added my own interpretation. The writer said it matched well, which made me happy.” She added, “Um Tae Goo’s focus on set was incredible, and it really helped me. I’m grateful for the experience.”

Um Tae Goo plays Kim Hyun Min, a man who encounters the mysterious Lee Ji Young every night on his way home. The two previously shared romantic scenes in the film The Great Battle. Famous for his reserved nature, Um Tae Goo admitted, “This time, the series is eight episodes, so I felt it was too short—I wish we had more time.”

Seolhyun shared similar sentiments, saying, “We didn’t have much opportunity to interact before, but this time, working together again, I thought our chemistry was so much better. He was very considerate and made the experience enjoyable.”

Meanwhile, Light Shop will be available on Disney Plus on the 4th.
