“The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection” star Uhm Ki Joon is tying the knot!
On May 13, Uhm Ki Joon’s agency Your Entertainment confirmed that the actor will get married in December. It was reported that Uhm Ki Joon’s bride-to-be is a non-celebrity and the two plan to hold their wedding privately with their families, relatives, and close acquaintances.
Uhm Ki Joon also took to his Instagram to share the news through a handwritten letter.
The letter reads as follows:
Hello, this is Uhm Ki Joon.
It feels like 2024 has just begun, but now we are at the end of spring and the beginning of summer. I hope everyone is staying healthy.
The reason I have been able to hold my position as an actor for such a long time is all thanks to JEKYLLI (Uhm Ki Joon’s fan club name). I am always grateful for your unwavering love.
I feel sorry that I have only been receiving your love as I am clumsy about expressing my feelings. Recently, seeing how happy and joyful you all were when we met for the first time in a while gave me so much strength, and it was a grateful time for me.
The reason I am writing this letter is that there is news I want to share with JEKYLLI first. I thought finding a lifelong partner was something that wouldn’t happen for me. However, I have met someone who is warm-hearted and considerate, and I plan to start a new life by getting married to this person. I am worried at the thought of how surprised JEKYLLI might be upon hearing this sudden news.
My dear JEKYLLI! I will never forget your support and love for me, and I will continue to do my best to repay your love. Thank you.
Uhm Ki Joon was born in 1976 and debuted in the play “Richard III” in 1995. Since then, the actor impressed in various projects including the dramas “Ghost,” “Defendant,” “Heart Surgeons,” and “The Penthouse” series as well as the films “Man of Vendetta” and “Killer Toon.”
