KBS 2TV’s upcoming weekend drama “Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” (literal translation) has unveiled first looks at Uhm Ji Won and Ahn Jae Wook in their roles!
“Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” tells the story of the five brothers of the traditional brewery Eagle Brewery, which has been making traditional liquor for three generations, and their eldest sister-in-law, who suddenly becomes the head of the family after her husband’s unexpected death just ten days into their marriage.
Uhm Ji Won stars as Ma Kwang Sook, a bright and cheerful post office clerk with a bold personality and a knack for honesty. Known for her charming appearance, glowing complexion, and playful demeanor, Kwang Sook is someone who doesn’t hold back, often punctuating her fiery outbursts with colorful language when angry. Yet, she is also deeply emotional, prone to both laughter and tears.
After years of living as a single woman, Kwang Sook finally marries her dream partner Oh Jang Soo, the owner of Eagle Brewery, at the age of 45. However, her newfound happiness is short-lived when Oh Jang Soo tragically passes away in an accident just days after their wedding. Left to pick up the pieces, Kwang Sook steps into her late husband’s shoes, taking over the brewery and shouldering the burden of caring for his four unruly younger brothers.
Ahn Jae Wook plays Han Dong Seok, the chairman of LX Hotel and an immensely wealthy chaebol. Dong Seok is a man of striking presence, known for his sharp demeanor, blunt remarks, and clear sense of right and wrong. While he appears cold and aloof, he hides a deeply romantic side, especially when it comes to his late wife.
Ahn Jae Wook will deliver a powerful performance as Han Dong Seok, a man whose life is steeped in loneliness after the loss of his wife. His daughter Han Bom (Kim Seung Yun) encourages him to date again by arranging blind dates, but Dong Seok firmly rejects them, revealing his unwavering love for his late wife.
Dong Seok’s path then crosses with Kwang Sook’s in an unexpected encounter. Struck by her unconventional and unrestrained personality, Dong Seok finds himself both baffled and intrigued by her. Their dynamic promises a rollercoaster of witty banter, budding romance, and entertaining clashes.
“Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” is set to premiere in February 2025 as the follow-up to “Iron Family.” Stay tuned!
